Lo *Specchio / Mix-Media CoLLagE su Tela / The Mirror / MIX-Media CoLLagE on Canvas

Qualche tempo fa ho progettato un collage su tela dai toni settecenteschi.... Un lavoro nato impulsivamente e lontano da quello che è il mio solito stile grafico.

Some time ago I designed a collage on canvas with tones eighteenth century .... A work created impulsively and away from what is my usual graphic style.

Per questo motivo la faccenda ha suscitato il mio profondo interesse soprattutto perchè volevo scoprire cosa si nascondeva in realtà dietro a quella tela.

Lo spunto del progetto è nato da alcune pagine di magazine e che  io ho usato come nucleo principale del collage..


For this reason, the affair sparked my deep interest mainly because I wanted to find out what is actually hiding behind the canvas.
The idea of the project came from a few pages of magazines that I used as core of the collage ..

In pratica ho voluto mettere su tela un pensiero o meglio uno stato d'animo che spesso viviamo inconsciamente... e che per quanto mi riguarda rifletteva molto bene il periodo che stavo vivendo.
In practice I wanted to put on canvas a thought or rather a state of mind that we often live unconsciously ... and for my part it reflected very well the time I was living.

Il titolo dell'opera è The Mirror/Lo Specchio e infatti come vedete ci sono due donne che si guardano, come in uno specchio.
Sembrano molto simili, almeno per abiti  e pettinatura, diciamo che probabilmete appartengono alla stessa epoca.
Ma una delle due appare chiusa in una gabbia, seppure dorata.


The title is The Mirror / Mirror and in fact as you can see there are two women looking at each other, as in a mirror.
They look very similar, at least for clothes and hairstyle, probabilmete belong to the same era.
But one of them is locked in a cage, even gold.

Ecco è questo che lo specchio mostra e poiché la tela non ha un verso di lettura, non si sa bene quale sia la donna che si specchia e quale quella reale.

Here is what the mirror shows ... and since the painting has not a reading direction, no one knows what the woman is reflected and what the real one.

Insomma come ogni opera che si rispetti c'è sempre un dialogo nascosto tra l'autore e il lettore...
So like any particular work there is always a hidden dialogue between the author and the reader ...
